Gold Creek
Gold Creek River has two trails, LOWERFALLS TRAIL: Gold Creek Parking Lot to Lower Falls. Hiking trail only. Hiking time 1 hour , 2.7 kilometers. A very popular, easy walk along Gold Creek to the 10 meter high Lower Falls. A beach area halfway to the falls is a good spot for a picnic or sun bathe. EAST CANYON TRAIL: Gold Creek parking lot to Viewpoint Beach. Horse, biking, and hiking trail. Hiking time 1.75 hours, 4 kilometer. The trail leads to spectacular scenery of Viewpoint Beach, where Golden ears and Edge Park Peak can be viewed to the west. The trail narrows and continues for another 11 kilometers parallel to Gold Creek. Drive down Dewdney Trunk Rd in Maple Ridge, B.C. to 232 Street, go north to Fern Cres. and East 15 km through Golden Ears Park to Gold Creek parking lot.
