Pitt Lake
Pitt Lake contains 1140 hectares of tidal freshwater mudflats. The sediments that form the mudflats are Fraser River silts carried upstream and deposited by the tidal movements of the Pitt river. These mud flats form one of the largest negatively accreting deltas in the world, and Pitt Lake is the second largest freshwater tidal lake in world. Fishing for wild trout and char is a great past time. Junction of Harris Road and Lougheed Highway, north on Harris Rd, east on Old Dewdney Trunk Rd, north on Neeves Rd to Park where Pitt Lake is located.
